Virginia was the wife or lover of Nathaniel, the lighthouse keeper. She was scheduled to return to their home in Starlight Cove shortly after the pirates arrived. Nathaniel tried to warn her of the danger there, but his message was never delivered.[1] The pirates had learned of her coming and planned to capture her, although it is unknown whether they succeeded.[2]
