The Vice unit of the City Watch is tasked with the investigation and arrest of people or persons involved in public order crimes. The only vice mentions so far is prostitution, namely Madame Volari's brothel, but also might cover (if paralleling real vice squads) alcohol (sale to minors), gambling, and pornography. A vice squad would cover narcotics, but the Watch has a separate division to deal with this.

Vice has an office in Shoalsgate Station, on the second floor, near the staircase. An open journal reveals the frustration of trying to get a case against Volari, and the possibility that Sheriff Truart is involved (in truth, he is[1]). The officer believes that Lieutenant Mosley is the only person to trust.[2]
