Iblis Truart Sr., was the father to Iblis Jr. and Gorman, and husband to Leeta Truart. After died, he was buried in a secret burial ground of the Truart Estate.
He was a great supporter of the Hammerites, and had a temple installed on the estate. When the Mechanists rose to power, Brother Tickspring urged Sheriff Truart to convert it to a Mechanist Temple.[1]

"Iblis" is an Arabic word which translates as "devil" or "demon." It is used to name the first, an the most prolific angel, to have disobeyed Allah's commands, which lead to the creation of the devils. The character is very much Islam's interpretation of the fallen angel Lucifer. As such, Iblis Truart Sr. being a devote follower of the Hammerite faith is ironic given his first name.
