The Final Glyph, also referred to as the Last of All Glyphs, was a powerful magical construct capable of annulling all glyph magic created as a safeguard by the Ancient Keepers who foresaw (and in their writings recorded) the possibility of future Keepers' imbalance.
Sentients[]
The ancient Keepers, after creating the Final glyph, put in a safeguard that would prevent it from being activated too early. They created the five sentients each imbued with a will of their own and, in the Writings of Albrech, it is stated that each Sentient was made so by a sacrifice, possibly by blood or even mortality.[1] Notably, the five artifacts were endowed with different levels of sentience: the Eye was capable of telepathic communication, while at least one of them was considered just barely sentient, if at all.[2]
Activation[]

The Final Glyph could only be activated by the One True Keeper,[1] and initiated by the will of the Eye. The ritual required for the five Sentients to be placed in their respective receptacles in associated historical monuments and landmarks across the City's five oldest districts:
- The Heart was to be placed in the Bradshaw Monument in Auldale;
- The Crown was to be placed in the base of the Clocktower in Stonemarket;
- The Chalice was to be placed in the pedestal of the Cataclysm Memorial in Fort Ironwood;
- The Paw was to be placed in the First Landing Marker in the Docks; and
- The Eye was to be placed in the South Quarter Fountain, and only after placing the others.
When the Eye is placed, the Final Glyph would activate in a bright explosion of light visible across all the City and erase all glyph magic. The lines of the Final Glyph would correspond with the layout of the City's streets, bridges and even The River.
Story[]
Garrett performed the ritual in Thief: Deadly Shadows, causing the downfall of Gamall and her long-planned schemes to destroy the Final Glyph, thus preventing her from attaining true immortality.
The City some time after the activation of the Final Glyph.
The Final Glyph erased all Glyph magic, and caused the prophecies and books to unwrite themselves and revealed Keeper Compound to the rest of the City.
In the final cutscene, it is revealed that Garrett has finally accepted his role as the One True Keeper, therefore confirming the order's continue existence in some form or another.
