First, the plural "Spices" needs to be singular "Spice", and not just because of naming convention, but because it is only one spice, not more than one, in that bag. Ehcmier 03:20, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier

a bag of spice, makes sense. --Sxerks
I forgot to mention, it's singular because it's singular in the GOALS and Strings, too. Ehcmier 03:20, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier

Here's a common situation that conflicts with current naming convention: although the rare spice object uses the same model and object as the sandbag2 in the Object Hierarchy, the skin is different, and the correct spice bag cannot be found in the the hierarchy. It has to be copied from Shipping... and Receiving, or changed in the Properties. So how do I name an upload of the correct image for an object not found as is in the hierarchy, and has been modified? In other instances, the model name matches the hierarchy info, but the mesh has been modified. - J

The naming of DromEd objects still works, as there are no duplicate names. Spice uses the sandbag2 model and the rare spice uses the OVERRIDE model:spiceb. Different models so different image names, the dromed images are meant for the object models only not for its in-game name(which can be many things), no reason to have dup images of the same model with different names.--Sxerks
Avoiding incorrect images with the same name as the correct one is the problem I want to avoid. As you can see in the page history, it was a little sandbag pic. I also don't know how to locate appropriate pics already uploaded without a lot of fuss. Ehcmier 05:51, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier
The sandbag object and the standard spice object use the same model (sandbag2) so that's what the pic is named, there are many other objects that use the same model like the "alcmixer" which is for Quicklime, flare, and acid Jugs. Dan probably used the "Item WIP" Rare Spices link and found 'spice' in the dromed object hierarchy and didn't realize there was an override in S&R for it(I didn't remember the red bag).
There are currently 4500 images here and growing, to find stuff:
If you know the object name use the search and add "Image" to the namespace.
Or use the special:prefixindex with the "Image" namespace and "DromEd Object Model" as the prefix
Maybe I need to make a gallery.--Sxerks 15:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
There is another thing that just bugs me. If you guys insist on proper DromEd description of the items, then why is this item in a category named "Food Loot". I think the name is exceptionally original! But DromEd shows the category as "Miscellaneous". Maybe I am mistaken since I really can't figure out which object name and which name from the "strings" list is adequate to the real in-game object. Dan7 08:32, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately you would have to look at Inventory->objectname in the hierarchy to match the right strings.--Sxerks 15:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Where is the name "Food Loot" coming from? And no, Rare Spice should not be in this category, as it's not meant to be food at all. I know people eat marijuana, but not in this case. Ehcmier 08:49, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier
That's Tom, and the generic Category naming doesn't have to be exact, especially if there are similar items in T1/2 and TDS.--Sxerks 15:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

The spice sandbags found in Casing the Joint are not likely to be narcotic; they are located on a shelf in the kitchen (see The Keepers' Chapel Secrets: Casing the Joint). Fish Preferred 03:40, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

These sandbags are clearly valuable, more than the red bags, but are they the same "Rare Spice"? Fish Preferred 20:55, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

no, they are different items, i think they only appear in Shipping & Receiving and Casing the Joint.--Sxerks 18:50, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

What does that make them; just expensive spice? Does this article still apply to them? Fish Preferred 02:42, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
