Servants are the working backbone of many a lord's manor. Performing various menial tasks such as cooking and cleaning, Servants can be seen in various ways by their lords and masters. They can be trusted helpers such as the valet or barman, valued employees such as the experienced chef, or they could be seen as the mumbling lower class who is lazy and shiftless.
In Thief and Thief II, the Servant class is used for the average bystander and servants of lower rank in the city. Unlike nobles, they don't display any deal of wealth and will run at the first sign of trouble, looking for any near by guard. They are extremely easy to Blackjack, even from the front and in full alert state.
On the streets, the servant will mostly go about there own business regardless of Garrett unless he shows a weapon or sign of conflict, or they hear signs of trouble from other servants or guards looking for someone. They will often join in the hunt but run when they see something.
In Thief: Deadly Shadows, Servants are mostly only found in buildings and can no longer be blackjacked from in front or when alerted.
