The Mechanist crossbow guard is a type of Mechanist armed with a Mechanist Crossbow who is found throughout Thief II: The Metal Age.

They are exclusively female. Among their idiosyncrasies is a tendency to sing to themselves or recite scripture if not alerted to intruders.
