The Mage Sword Guard is not a mage himself, but a mercenary hired by the Hand Brotherhood to help guarding the Tower Complex. He is tougher and faster than the regular Bafford Guard, but the most notable thing is his higher attack speed. Other than that there is nothing special about this sword guard.
