Kindle was a Hammerite who lived 50 before Garrett's time, in the cloister behind The Haunted Cathedral. He was interested in the craftsmanship of holy symbols, but he had difficulties actually getting them blessed. He was advised either to get the symbol he had created blessed by a priest or to visit Brother Renault, who had found a different method to make the symbols holy.
