An elevator is usually little more than a moving square platform, seen throughout all three games. The player can controll it with buttons to go up or down. Most elevators seen in game have little to no machinery actually involved, seemingly moving by themselves.
Other Uses[]
In all three games, it will trap and injure/kill whatever is underneath it and is a leeway to kill people (and Builder's Children without it counting towards Garrett kill streak. It is additionally effective against zombies Thief: Deadly Shadows.

- Elevators in DromEd can be blocked by certain objects like a Green Spider carcass preventing them from going upward.
Trivia[]
- Elevators existed since before the Cataclysm as the Old Hammer Cathedral had elevators in it.
- More complex elevators in TDS must be assembled from various parts and, if weighed down or otherwise impeded, may separate.
