Statue of Saint Edgar
To my foes, or my own death...
Saint Edgar, drinking from The Chalice before battle
St. Edgar is a long-dead Hammerite hero, canonized as a saint by the Order of the Hammer. The actions of St. Edgar have had a church and a holiday named after him. Edgar also has at least one book written about him, titled Glory of St. Edgar. A note to Brother Partis states the book is damaged, but legible.[1]
Story of St. Edgar[]
St. Edgar was a mighty warrior. He and his men were worn from many days of battle. He prayed to the Master Builder with the Chalice in hand, asking for the gift of death to be granted either to his foes, or Edgar himself. Drinking from the Chalice, he felt the Builder's strength surging through him, and his foes were defeated.[2]
