Description: The City Chronicle extra edition
Location: On table, ground floor Tavern.
The City Chronicle - Extra Doomed Vessel Arrives in Docks The merchant ship Abysmal Gale floated into port on Sunday with its captain and crew of 28 either missing or dead. Witnesses say the vessel, formerly under the command of Captain Robert Moira, seemed to steer on its own. Now under City Watch investigation, the curious are warned to keep their distance from the boat. Officer Dirk Lemar explains: 'With this here cursed ship, you got your zombies, you got your ghosts, plus all the dangers of a regular ship, drowning, splinters, what-have-you.' With that said, this is one reporter that will indeed be keeping her distance. Additional reports indicate the possibility that undead who disembarked from the vessel may be congregating in or around the sewers. - C. Mavenstock

Yup. I see more in a day than I reckon most folks ever do. Like when I was guttin that mackerel. Bet nobody will believe what came out of its belly. Nobody believes old Eli. Guess they think the salt air shriveled my thinkin cap. Well, maybe it did. Reminds me of the time I was working my scrimshaw when that metal whale came floatin by. Made a sound I won't never forget. There was even words on it. Cetus Amicus. You don't forget a thing like that. Breathed fire too. So scared I nearly whittled my thumb off.

Description: A letter concerning the treatment of the Pagan tree
Location: Unknown? not used?
L- Watch that odd little tree real careful. Seems like everybody wants a piece of it. The Hammers want to burn it up in some sort of special furnace, and the Pagans want to plant it in a place they got picked out. Way the captain figures it, when folks want something that bad, could mean money for us. We should be able to move it and the rest of that cargo into a warehouse soon. In the meantime, it don't go nowhere with nobody. Got it? M.

Description: A letter from Brother Constance to Brother Vault
Location: On a small table, top floor, Bloody Ears Tavern
Brother Vault It hast come to our attention that the Pagans art after a small tree that recently arrived by boat to thy district, Docks. 'Tis imperative they don't obtain it! If 'tis anything like the Pagan magics thus far, 'twill be bad for us indeed. The cursed thing is being held by the City Watch. Methinks they must side with the Pagans, or perhaps greed hast o'ercome their sense of righteousness. If though thinkest an offer of more money would set things aright, then 'twould be a goodly plan. Brother Ondilot thinkest we should burn the tree in a furnace. That the furnace, most blessed vessel of the will of the Master Builder, will destroy the tree and consume its terrible magics. 'Tis a furnace in the Tavern there in Docks--and perhaps, by the Builder's grace, 'twill do the job. Though, 'tis a poor substitute for a Hammerite furnace. Brother Constance
