Crickets as a group of insects from the Gryllidae family and are best known for a loud, persistent chirping song made by the male trying to attract females. This sound is made by a special organ located on their fore wing. They are sometimes used as food or kept as pets.

- Crickets are present (as sound) in almost all grass, bushes and trees. Cricket calls may be similar to the Cicada, but slightly modified.
- The use of the crickets suggests that the missions can be placed between the warmer seasons at night, when most of the missions take place.
