A Cat Statuette as a museum exhibit in TDS
The cat statuette is a large ornamental stone carving in the Ancient Egyptian style of the Late Period. It is probably made of either turquoise or jade and seated on a large, heavy looking, block of the same material. It has small green gems set in the eyes. Its appearance was probably inspired by the Gayer-Anderson cat.
The origin of the cat statues is uncertain: They are found among the ruins of the Kurshok empire, in Fogerty's back room, and on display at the Wieldstrom Museum. Although much larger and more ornate, these sell for less on the Black Market than the Bird Statuette.
