Not to be confused with Looking Glass Studios, the developers of the first two Thief games.
"Broken Glass Studios" is the semi-official (nick)name of The Dark Mod development team.
In fan mission overview materials at the TDM wiki and here on the Thief Wiki, it also appears under the moniker "TDM Team". The "Broken Glass Studios" moniker was suggested by Darkness Falls, a concept artist and audio contributor for The Dark Mod.
As of 2021, The Dark Mod has been in continuous development for some 17 years, and is under constant improvement, with an ever growing roster of sophisticated new fan missions.
Besides the technical side of the base game's development, the TDM Team has also worked primarily on the three main missions that come pre-installed with the base game: The Training Mission, Mission 1: A New Job and Mission 2: The Tears of Saint Lucia. The team also worked on a smaller and more specific addendum to the main training mission, known as the Sound Alert & Blackjack Trainer.

As a minor fun fact, though The Dark Mod has had an official logo for many, many years, the development team itself has not settled for a specific logo so far. Though there have been some discussions about narrowing down the design for a team logo, as seen in this thread.
