The Black Market is explored in Thief 3, as Garrett is allowed to walk the City when not in missions, and buy and sell items and equipment. The Black Market is alive and thriving with one of every store kind in every district within the City, with the exception of no fence in Old Quarter.


There are two kinds of black market stores, each one specializing in certain items:

• Fences - who purchase stolen loot
• Shops - who sell tools, potions , equipment and information
