Signal Whistle
The Birdcall is a small whistle which gives off the sound of a bird call, which can be used a signal without drawing unwanted attention. It only appears in the mission Running Interference in Thief II: The Metal Age.
The item is given to Garrett by Basso, to signal when the coast is clear to for Basso to rescue Jenivere. [1]

- In the original, unpatched release, (version 1.07), the birdcall appears to have a severely limited range and only works if used just outside of Basso's hiding place; otherwise, it works out to a radius of 70 DUs.
