Benny is a chronically intoxicated City Watch guard stationed in Truart Estate during The Metal Age. He is the most famous guard of his voice type and, consequently, his name is often given to various unnamed guards throughout the series.

In the mission "Blackmail", he is encountered in the game room on the second floor of the mansion, complaining to the barmaid about the mead stain on the rug without realizing that he was the one who spilled it. In his typical bungling fashion, he had recently lost his silver gear key in the pool when he went for a swim.

Benny might be a follower of the Hammerite religion. Sometimes he is heard muttering, "Builder Bless Me". It is not impossible that he might have been caught up in the Mechanist religion fad.
