Benny, talking to the barmaid
Benny is a chronically intoxicated City Watch guard stationed at the Truart Estate during The Metal Age.[2] He is the most famous guard of his voice type and, consequently, his name is often given to various unnamed guards throughout the series.
Story[]
He is encountered in the mission "Blackmail" in the game room on the second floor of the estate, complaining to the barmaid about the mead stain on the rug without realizing that he was the one who spilled it. After loudly proclaiming that he was drunk and that it made him more fearless the bar maid cut him off.[2]
In his typical bungling fashion, he had recently lost his Silver Gear key in the pool when he went for a swim and tried, to no avail, for someone to open the door.[3]

- Benny's full name might be "Benny Sinclair" as this is how he is labelled in DromEd.[4]
- Benny might be a follower of the Hammerite religion as sometimes he is heard muttering, "Builder Bless Me".[5] It is not impossible that he might have been caught up in the Mechanist religion fad.
