“ | "Dei kardum porta animus potentium" - "Doubly cursed in living death" | ” |
— Caduca's reading and Gamall's Translation |
The 'Animus' Glyph appears to be a Glyph which grants the power of semi-life to unliving things. Gamall used it to animate her statue minions by imprinting it on their foreheads.[1]
Notes[]
- The word 'Animus' is Latin meaning 'spirit' or 'mind', but in modern English can mean motivation or hostility. In Thief, Gamall's translation seams to hint that it might mean 'living'.[2]
- The true name of this Glyph is currently known. In light of the meaning of Animus and the context's it is used in Thief, it may be named Animus Glyph.
